ULTIMATE DANGER – ULTIMATE SAFETY

The Ultimate Danger is not the Coronavirus.

And the ULTIMATE SAFETY is not a vaccine to prevent it’s spread.

The Coronavirus notwithstanding, a sadness of our time is the extent to which so many of us live in various levels of fear and do not feel safe both individually and collectively.

Parents are concerned about their child’s safety when they send them off to school.

The class weirdo is no longer viewed as harmless.

The convenient store worker is just wondering when he or she will be robbed.

A couple of weeks ago on my morning walk I encountered two women walking their dogs. I stopped to chat with them for a few minutes. The dogs were on their leashes.

Although I was a stranger to the two dogs as well as the women, neither dog seemed threatened by me. We chatted for a few minutes and both moved on.

Then a couple of days later, at almost the same spot, I met another couple. A man and a woman. The woman had two dogs on their leashes and the man had one dog.

Again, I was a stranger to both the man and the woman and the dogs. Yet not one of the dogs made any kind of a move towards me. There was no evidence that they had any sense of danger of any kind.

I left both encounters with a profound sense of having been allowed to witness a powerful metaphor.

In both instances, the dogs were in their Masters presence. They knew their Masters and their Masters knew them. They felt secure because they had a relationship with their Masters and their Masters with each of them.

When I am in MY Masters presence and He is in me, I feel safe. I have no reason to be fearful because of my relationship with Him and His with me.

He has promised me that I will be safe.

The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Colossians in Chapter 3, verse 3, said that I can live my life hidden with Christ in God.

Hidden with Christ in God Really?

I believe I can count on God not allowing anything untoward to happen to His Son again.

If He is going to keep His Son safe, then I too will be safe.

If that is the The Ultimate Safety, then what is the The Ultimate Danger

Would it not be NOT BEING IN HIM?

OH! REALLY? Hmm
