Am I in balance Have you ever asked yourself that question?

No, this is not an am I crazy question. It is just about you simply asking yourself: “is my life in balance?”

If you know anything about automobiles you know that if your front end is properly aligned and your tires are balanced it runs better and smoother.

If you are a tennis player, you know your racquet works better if it is properly balanced.

The same is true of you and me. We live better and we work better when our lives are in balance

We were created to live in balance

When God created us, he gave us a physical nature and a spiritual nature.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being (Genesis 2:7)

From the dust of the earth man became a physical being.

And when God breathed into us His breath we received His Spirit which gave birth to our spiritual nature. (John 3:6)

God knew we needed both. He knew we needed the physical part of our nature to subdue the earth and to pro-create.

He knew that of the two natures, the physical or fleshly part of our nature would have the ability to overwhelm us and that is why He gave us His Spirit to keep us in balance (The Apostle Paul explains this in Galatians chapter 5, verse 17.)

Sadly, when man disobeyed God, committing cosmic treason in choosing the sovereignty of self over the sovereignty of God, he lost the power that God had put in that spiritual part of his nature.

Consequently, until Christ, fourteen generations later, mankind clearly and regrettably, has remained out-of-balance

And in the event, you have ever wondered, why Christ? There you have one reason.

It was through Christ that God returned the Holy Spirit to the Earth so that you and I might be able to maintain the balance in our lives that God intended from the beginning (John 7:39; 14:26; 20:22)

Are you in-balance

Have you ever done something really stupid and said to yourself, what WAS I thinking?

Do you find yourself being drawn to things that are NOT good for you and away from things you know WOULD benefit you?

Would you like to be more in-balance than you are?

That Spirit which God gave us to keep us in-balance is available to all who seek it.
