HAVE YOU BEEN ABUSED?
What if someone told you something that was not true, was a lie, and you believed it? And, you ended up basing your whole life on it? Would you call that being abused?
Or, your mother or father said to you, you’re just slow, or you’re so dumb, you’ll never amount to a hill of beans.
A daughter overhears her disappointed mother tell a friend, well, let’s face it, she’s just not pretty and she never will be.
Disgusting? Absolutely! But none of the above or any and all variations of those kinds of abuses are not the worst form of abuse.
What if someone knew that there was an account in your name at a local financial institution that had over $5,000,000.00 in it and all you had to do was provide proof to that financial institution that you are indeed the person to whom those funds belong and they would be available to you but.. that person never told you?
Or perhaps you feel lost and alone. Nothing seems to be working in your life. All you seem to get are band-aids. Relationships? Forget it. Do this, do that and all will be fine. Read this, read that. Man up! Get a grip! You just gotta pull yourself up by your own bootstraps.
Sound familiar? Depressing? Yet, it happens all the time.
Well, not anymore! At least NOT to YOU, that is, IF YOU are reading this.
You recall a voice that said you were slow or dumb or would never amount to anything worthwhile?
Baloney!
You are the salt of the earth. (Matthew 5:13) You are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37) If you believe in God and you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have your own Angel who watches over you. (Hebrews 1:14); Your Creator has crowned you with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:5); In fact, your Creator loves you so much that He sacrificed His only Son so that He could live with you and you with Him forever.(John 3:16); And most of all, remember that nothing can separate you from His love. There isn’t anything you can do to cause Him to love you more. And there isn’t anything YOU can do to cause Him to love YOU less. (Romans 8: 38 & 39).
Do YOU get the feeling that YOU are important!
You recall a voice that said you were not pretty nor would you ever be?
Baloney!
You are the apple of your Creator’s eye (Zechariah 2:8); You are one of your Creator’s daughters and you are beautiful. (Genesis 6:2) Your creator made you beautiful (Ecclesiastes 3:11); YOU are not beautiful if YOU are only beautiful on the outside. YOU are beautiful because YOU are beautiful on the inside because God does not consider YOUR outward appearance, but He looks at YOUR heart. (1 Samuel 16:7).
No one has told you that there is a treasure waiting for you to possess nor have they told you where it is located?
Baloney! There is an absolute fortune in your name just waiting for you to claim it.
If any of YOU is without wisdom, let him ask it from his Creator who is beyond generous, and He will give it to him (James 1:5); Now test me on this. See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out blessings upon YOU without measure(Malachi 3:10); Let us trust in the Lord who supplies us richly with all things for our use (1 Timothy 6:17) If you will make it YOUR absolute priority to seek the Kingdom of God and all that God has in that Kingdom for YOU, everything YOU need in the way of food, shelter and clothing will be supplied to YOU.(Matthew 6:33)
You are lost and alone and feel like you have run out of places to turn for help?
Baloney!
Your Creator has told YOU that He and He alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life and it is in Him and because of Him and Him alone that YOU, and I, and we all have our lives and our very being (John 14: 6; Acts 17:28); In fact, He has specifically invited YOU to come to Him, and He will not only show YOU how YOU are to rest YOUR body, but YOUR Soul as well. (Matthew 11:28 & 29).
YOU are not alone, YOU will never be all alone for I will be with YOU always, I will never leave YOU nor forsake YOU. I will show YOU the paths of life, no matter the difficulty, I will be with YOU. (Hebrews 13:5; Matthew 28:20; Psalm 16:11: Phillipians 4:6&7)
Pull yourself up* by your own bootstraps?
Baloney! You can’t do that on your own. No one can. No one ever has.
The same power that raised ME (Jesus) from the dead, is available to YOU to help YOU and guide YOU to live the life I created YOU to live. (Romans 8:11); I also told YOU that when I ascended back to my Father in Heaven, I would not leave YOU alone, as an orphan, but that I would send down my Holy Spirit to YOU to teach YOU and to guide YOU into all truth.(John 16:13);
And, I did.
OH! REALLY? Wow!
