“WHO’S” ON FIRST!

Without really knowing it, the famous comedy team of the 1940s and 50s, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, were also first-rate theologians.

Their famous routine WHOS ON FIRST was pure Christology. All you have to do is change it from a question to a statement of truth. The WHO is GOD incarnate, JESUS CHRIST.

In Matthew 6:33, WHO tells us we must seek FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven and all its righteousness, and all the things we tend to be most concerned about in our lives will be provided to us.

What is the FIRST thing you do with any thought you have? You capture it and make sure it is a thought that will lead you to be obedient to WHO (2 Cor. 10:5)

When you awaken in the morning, WHO must be the object of your FIRST thought?

What is my FIRST and foremost duty and obligation to my Creator? I am to love HIM with all my heart, soul, and mind. (Matthew 22:37)

WHO is the FIRST above all things that were created, and WHO has preeminence over all things?

WHO must be the first object of any of our affections. To love anything or anyone less would make us unworthy of the capacity we were given to love in the first place.
